When I was growing up, I had no internet, no streaming, no Disney plus apps, not even DVDs, so the best part of the day was the two hour slot where I got to watch all my favorite cartoons from 3-5 . Although I loved Gummi Bears, Tailspin, Ducktales, Goof Troop, Gargoyles, Bonkers, Aladdin, Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers, Timon and Pumbaa, the Mighty Ducks, etc. my favorite was always Darkwing Duck and I tried so hard to collect all his comic books in the Disney Adventure Magazines, but sadly I ended up losing them and though with the discontinuation of the magazine I would never see them again. I hope this is the first of many books in this set and we got all the epic stories and short one pagers reprinted. It’s so much fun to see them again and this time the book is so BIG that you can pick out a lot of little details you could hardly see in the original printings of the comics in the Adventures magazine! Which is great because while some of the stories are based on episodes, many of them are original stories that you couldn’t find anywhere else. And this volume has a little of everything including the full movie comic version of A Goofy Movie. I’m hoping for many future volumes including maybe the comic versions of the Lion King and Simba’s Pride as Adventures did a stellar job at converting Disney movies into comic form and you even got insights into the characters that weren’t expressed in the movies like thought bubbles and such. Great job Disney!
