This 3 volume series is not for the average pet owner or casual trainer. Also, anyone not interested in drilling down into every possible aspect of dog evolution, behavior, neurophysiology will probably not have the patience for this. For anyone who is ready this series is second to none. As a prerequisite a good foundation understanding of learning theory and terminology before reading would help. Try the wonderful, concise and easy Exel-erated Learning, Pam Reid. A basic understanding of neurophysiology would also be helpful. I recommend it on kindle in order to access instant definitions (lots of big words).
